[Actiwisdom] First details about the exchange

Dear Kinuthia,

was great to finally get in touch with you. Here is the promised Mail.
First we'd like to present you the content of the project and then we
wish to discuss our divergent expectations towards the organisational frame

content:
objective: exchange of activists from kenya and germany.

-introduction to the political situation and institutions in germany,
parlamentary and civil society

-meeting with diverse forms of political activism, e.g.
indepent media
student movement
violence and judical repression against activsts and resistance to that
anti-nuclear-energy movement
protest against coal mining

-workshops on different forms of skills for political actions, e.g.
communication and consenus
various forms of demonstrations
blockades (sitting blockades, material blockades...)
affinity groups
basic first aid for demonstrations

-workshops and presentations from the kenyan activists

Do you have any questions on that? Is there any more content you are
interested in or any more workshops that you would like to attend?


organisational frame:
we've been meeting some difficulties in getting the funds that are
sufficiant for such a project. But never the less we are very motivated
and we think it is very important to have such an exchange so we came up
with the idea to lower our expectians and have a low budget plan. In
detail this means the following things: the team will sleep in one room,
but with space enough for everyone. We will try to keep the costs for
food as low as possible and our main base will be Berlin with vistit in
one or two other places, so there will be no tour. Probably we won't be
able to provide you with pocket money. Might there be any problems
occuring from this situation?


Please write a few lines on you're general expectations towards the
project. In addition to that we would like to know roughly what kind of
topics you coul give presentations or what kind of experiences from
Kenya would you like to share with us.

By the way, it will be an interesting time for you to come, because in
September there is the general election in germany.
